Hi SAP Gurus,
1. what is Checking group and what is the use of that?
2. What is Requirement class and Reqt Type? and their use.
Hello,
Checking Group : The checking group is the criterion that groups together all the checking rules from all application areas for a material.
It defines the scope of the availability check for each business event; that is, which stocks, goods receipts and goods issues are taken into account in the availability check, and whether replenishment lead time is checked.
Requirement Class : The requirements class contains all control features for planning such as relevance for planning, requirements planning strategy and requirements consumption strategy. In addition, it is specified at a global level whether an availability check is to take place for the material in the sales and distribution documents on the basis of the ATP quantity (ATP = available to promise) and whether requirements are to be passed on. A finer degree of control can be obtained for sales documents using the schedule line category.
Requirement Type: The various requirements are identified by their requirements type. The requirements type refers to the requirements class and its control features.

Dear Sabina,
Checking group
The criterion that groups together all checking rules for all application areas for a material.
In conjunction with the checking rule, the checking group defines the scope of the availability check for each business event, that is, which stocks, goods receipts, and goods issues are taken into account in the availability check, and whether replenishment lead time is checked.
Requirement type
The goods transfers and stock quantities in the Warehouse Management system contain a reference to their origin.
The requirement type refers to the origin type, for example, goods receipt for purchase order (Type B) or goods issue to cost centers (Type K).
Requirements class
Key which specifies the planning strategy internally within the system.
One or more requirements types can be allocated to the requirements
class. Planning strategies and requirements are linked via the
requirements type.
I hope it will help you,
Regards,
Murali.

Hi,
The words are used in SAP SD availability check.
Requirements Class:The requirements class, as used in the TOR, Controls the requirements planning strategy and the requirement consumption strategy.
R It is also resonsible:
To determine if an availability check is to be performed for the material on the basis of the ATP quantity and whether the TOR is passed on.
Requirement Type
The requirement type refers to the requirements class and its features. The requirements class is assigned to the requirements type in TOR.
Checking Group:
The checking group defines what type of requirements we will pass on.
The checking groups are configurable, yet SAP standard uses the following checking groups:
01 u2013 to represent daily requirements
02 u2013 to represent individual requirements
Checking Rule:
The checking rule is used to control the scope of the availability check for each transaction in Sales and Distribution. It defines which quantities are to be inspected while availability and transfer of requirements takes place.
Note: Checking rule must be assigned to checking group
Thanks
Kuntla
