SAP SD certification in US

Hello SAP gurus,

I am in United states and I have come to know that anybody can give the certific ation examfro 500$ without SAP training which is not the case in India. I went to the SAP education website but couldn't get the exact link where I can book an exam date. I am working with Patni computers and if needed I can provide the NOC as well from my company. please give me your suggestion that how can I appear for SD certification exam.

It would be a great help if somebody can educate me on this.
