Is there any way you can restrcit read access to any table in MDM 5.5 SP6 ?
I tried restricting access with roles, however the minimum posssible restriction seems to be "Read"
Yups, the minimum restriction is read in MDM (till now)
SAP has delivered couple of new security features in SP6 (users and roles table) which were not there in SP4. So lets hope SAP delivers some good security features and admin stuffs in it.

Hi,
Apart from Masks which are static u can create Named searches which are dynamic.
Go to Data Manager Select current table as Named searches.Add a new record say N1
Go to Main table(or lookup) select records -select Search from Menu-Save to Named search.
Go to console -Admin-Roles-selecta role-under Tables and fields-Add constraint in Named searches.
This is one way to limit the access to Table

Hi,
You can also use Masks functionality which will act like a View concept of Database. In which user can see only the part of records present in the repository.
For Masking:
1. Create the Masks i.e. different views in Data Manager by changing Search Criteria.
2. Assign the mask to the particular role in Console.

Hi,
What u can do is hide the table in MDM data manager by defining the Hide property in MDM Console for any table. But this will not be a user specific.
U can apply the constraints to particular records but not to the whole table.on the basis of some fields.
Follow the below link to apply named searches
Then u can include the named search in the constraint under the admin section in roles in function table-->under Named search which will be user specific.(In MDM console)
Else there is not any direct way to make a table not readable.
