Hi,

Please check your r3trans version, because the new R3trans (patch 170) causes troubles(it is having bug) please use old version like patch 164 or 159, definitley it will resolve the issue.

Please let me know if still error persists.

Thanks

Hello Carlos,

I have the same problem with you, can u share the R3trans .SAR file name in the service SAP SDWC. Because i can't find R3trans file with level/version 159 or 164. Now i'm using R3trans_170_20000967.SAR.

Thanks for your attention...

Hi Dicky.

Download dbindependent kernel lvl 159, here you´ll find r3trans.exe file.

Carlos,

Usually i'm downloading form SAP Service Market place with path :

SAP SDWC -> Download -->Support Packages & Patches --> Entry By Application Group --> Additional Component --> SAP Kernel --> SAP KERNEL 32-Bit Unicode --> SAP KERNEL 7.00 3-Bit unicode --> Linux on IA32 32 Bit --> #Database Independent. From here list of current components kernel displayed.

(i'm working in IDES ECC 6.0 environment with Centos, try to implement RE-FX with the latest ENH PACK 2)

I can't find previous level of R3trans, seems like SAP hidden it somewhere because they think the previous versions have more bugs than the current (170) or i have the wrong path.

I also tried the SEARCH method but still gave me the null record.

Can you give me the exact link ??

By the way, do you think R3trans give error messages because it can't work alone. Kernel have components that work together, example : Sapcar extract support package files (.SAR) into SAINT inbox files (.PAT). R3trans read .PAT files, executes SQL statements refer to dbmssslib.dll.

Sapcar, R3trans and dbmssslib.dll are part of the kernel components, is it compatibility will be the issue ??

So if we're not update the relevant components the problem may occure......

Pls advice

Hi Dicky,

You can't find the R3trans level 159, what you need to do is download Kernel 159 and extract the kernel patch you will get R3trans. Use that R3trans level 159, it will defenitely resolves your issue.

Link to get the kernel : https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/patches in that Support Packages and Patches" Additional Components" SAP Kernel" SAP KERNEL 32-BIT UNICODE" SAP KERNEL 7.00 32-BIT UNICODE, then select your relevant OS and go -ahead with the downloading Kernel -159 patch.

Let me know if you have still any issue to get R3trans-159 level.

Thanks

Kishore

I expirienced this problem too and can't find R3trans.exe v. 159 =(

In the path Dicky gave, download this file SAPEXE_159-20000967.SAR, unpack it and then you'll find r3trans file lvl 159.

This is NOT the db-dependent, is the db-independent.

> This is NOT the db-dependent, is the db-independent.

SAPEXE_* is DB-depended package, includes DB-specific binaries.

R3trans.exe is OS-depended component and delivered in separate archive R3trans_*

Standard SAPEXE_* content for Windows:

>ARCHIVE_OFF.BAT

>ARCHIVE_ON.BAT

>ARCHIVE_TST.BAT

>dbadaslib.dll

>dboraslib.dll

>dbsdbslib.dll

>libsbt.dll

>brarchive.exe

>brbackup.exe

>brconnect.exe

>brrecover.exe

>brrestore.exe

>brspace.exe

>brtools.exe

>CPIO.EXE

>DD.EXE

>MKSZIP.EXE

>MT.EXE

>R3ldctl.exe

>R3load.exe

>R3szchk.exe

>sapdbmrfc.exe

>UNCOMPRESS.EXE

>dbadaslib.pdb

>dboraslib.pdb

>dbsdbslib.pdb

>R3loadora.pdb

>initSID.sap

>sapconn_role.sql

>sapdba_role.sql

Do you see R3trans.exe in this list?

Don't worry, download sapexedb_159*.SAR and search r3trans.exe.

If you don't find it r3trans does not exists.

r3ttrans.exe at lvl 159 is not released separately.

I don't know how to help, if you need further info please open up a message to SAP.

Hello,

Thank's a lot Carlos and Kishore,

I have unpacked R3trans (Ver.6.14, Rel. 700, date.24.04.08) from SAPEXE_159_20000967.SAR. Now I'am continuing SAINT process to ECC 6.0 ENH PACK 2. Hope there'll be no error message about R3trans anymore.

Thank's again, my problem solved.

Hi All,

there is a note for the original problem,

please refer to the note

1233809 R3trans termination: "invalid offset 0 for placeholder 16 ... "

and download the corrected R3trans from the listed sapmats links.

Best regards

Laszlo

You can check if

- you use the Oracle client 10.2.0.2

- you use the latest dboraslib.dll

and try again. If that doesn't help I'd open an OSS call.
