What is Tcode SM51?

Can any one please explain me the perpose of transaction Code SM51 in details...

or some document or link will be great

Hello Srinivas dev,

Actually, transaction SM51 provides a list of all ABAP instances of your system. Usually you can use "application server" as a synonym to "ABAP instance", but not always. For example, when you have more than one ABAP instance installed in an unique server, they are not the same.

In this same transaction, you can see what kind of Work Process an ABAP instance has. They are: Dialog, Update, Enqueue, Background, Spool.

And if you double-click on an instance, you will see a list of Work Processes configured there.

Hi

SM51 will display the SAP servers and u can select the particular server and check the work process running on that application server on clicking on any work process it will take u to that application server
