HI Kaushik...

If you real requirement is to block the sales document type for a particular period of time.... Don't you think the better option would be to block the Sales document type by going to VOV8 and in Sales Document block ,select "This sales document is blocked".....?

And whenever you want the users to reuse this document type you can take away this block...

Does that make sense...?

Cheers,

Safeer Rahman

HI Kaushik...

I hope you have got enough pointers to assign your sales order type to particular sales areas with the suggestions offered by our forum friends.

As Lakshmipathi has pointed out, you can block a particular sales document type by T.code OVAL .YOu can maintain the values for the same through OVAS. Once you define your blocking reason .Goto Customer master , Extras Blocking Data and maintain the values...

HOpe this helps...

Thanks,

Safeer Rahman.

If you want to block a document for particular Sales Area, in that case:

IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents > Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types > Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas

If you want to Block the Sales Order itself, you can do it in T.Code: VOV8 (towards the beginning of the screen, you have the option to keep it as blank, or A - Automatic or X - Blocked

Hello,

you vcan assign sales area to the document type.

Please go into the customizing the following menu path:

> PRO

> Sales and Distribution

> Sales Document

> Sales Document Header

> Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types

Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types

In this menu option, you allocate the allowed order types to each sales area group.

You do not need to make any entries at all if all the sales order types are allowed for each of your sales areas.

If you wish to check allowed sales document types, you must set up common sales areas. This means you must define common sales organizations, common distribution channels and common divisions. If, for example, you have define common divisions, then you must also define common distribution channels and sales organizations.

Example 1 (simplest case):

Only the sales document type "standard order" (OR) should be allowed for a specific sales area <0001/01/01> (that means: sales organization 0001, distribution channel 01, division 01). The following activities are required for this:

1.1) Activity "group together sales organizations":

Sales org. Ref.sales org.

0001 0001

1.2) Activity "group together distribution channel":

Sales org. Distr.ch. Distr.ch. Doc.type

0001 01 01

1.3) Activity "group together divisions":

Sales org. Division Division Doc.type

0001 01 01

1.4) Activity "assign allowed order types to sales areas":

Ref.sales Distr.ch. Division Sales doc.type

0001 01 01 OR

Example 2:

The above settings should also be used for the sales area

I hope that the information are helpful.

Regards

Claudia

HI

THIS SETTING IS ALREADY THERE BUT WE WANT TO BLOCK THE PERTICULAR SALES AREA SAY FOR 10 DAYS, AFTER THAT BLOCK WILL BE REMOVED

Hello,

Better is not to use the paricular order type for 10 days in that sales area. Standard SAP system will not allow you to block a particular sales document type for a fixed time in a particular sales area.

Hello Dutta,

May I know what is the biz requirement why your customer needs to block certain order type for certain sales area for a particular period like 10 days?

I don't think there is a way that you can automatically enable this capability in SAP. If you really wants to do that, you need to disable/enable the process manually and I don't think there will be much effort for you to do.

Thanks, Eric!

CLIENT'S VP( MARKETING) DON'T WANT TO BY PRODUCT SALE TO HAPPEN FOR NEXT 10 DAYS. HE WANTS TO LOCK THE SALE PROCESS, SO THAT NO BRANCH CAN MAKE THE SALE.

Hello,

As Shankar Explained, you can assign document types to permitted sales areas, so the system will allow these order types to the particular sales areas only.

SPRO --> Sales and Distribution --> Sales documents --> Sales document header --> Assign sales area to sales document types.

HI,

Go to spro - sales & distribution - sales - sales documents - sales document header - assign sales document type to sales areas..

Please assign sales document types to permitted sales areas. So that sales documents will be permitted for only those sales areas...
