Problem with catalogue pricing in SRM SC

Former Member

Dear SAP Gurus,

We encounter a problem with the pricing in a SRM SC with catalogue items.

When we order form an OCI catalogue we see the prices that are send back to SRM. But when clicking on an item to see the details the price of the item will become 0.

Does anyone has an idea why this is happening.

And if this is know problem who can give us an solution for this problem.

We are on SRM 4.0.

Best regards,

Hi all,

The problem has been resolved.

The supplier was sending a UOM in the OCI link that couldn't be used in our SRM system.

We didn't receive an error message but as soon as we entered the details of the item then the price and UOm where emptied.

We have informed the supplier and they have changed the UOM that was causing the problems.

Dear Viv,

There is no error in the error log. The UNSPSC is mapped to an internal code.

The problem is that the items are transferred to SRM correctly but when changing the details (e.g. adding account assignment) the price will be cleared and reset to "zero".

Dear Masa,

It doesn't matter if there are already Free Text items in the SC. As soon as we want to update the details of the catalog item the price will be reset to "zero".

The other strange thing is that it's not going wrong for all the items purchase from the OCI catalogue. For some of the items it's working fine. All the used UNSPSC codes are translated into 1 internal code.

Any other ideas?

Hi,

Is this your situation? It looks SC side issue.

1. Create a SC with free text item, price 100 EUR

2. Change account assignment

3. Price is changed to 0 EUR

Have you checked IPC is working fine?

Dear Masa,

The IPC is running otherwise we wouldn't be able to create a SC.

The issue with the pricing is only for the catalog items and not for the free text items.

Hi,

Is the transfered item from catalog Product Master or just Supplier Parts No?

Do you have any coding in DOC_CHANGE_BADI ?

Dear Masa,

The items from the catalog are just supplier part numbers.

We have coding in place in the Badi DOC_CHANGE but as I can tell it has nothing to do with the prices set to "zero" when opening the details of the item.

Hi J.,

you wrote that in some catalog items the prices were not reset to 0. Are these items from the same catalog as the items that were reset?

A guess: When you change item details the systems checks back with the catalog and sets the price to 0 if it thinks this is a freetext item because some entries are missing, e. g. vendor.

Please check in transaction BBP_PD - before changing the position - if any fields are missing that should be filled, and recheck after you changed the position details.

Hi Karsten,

Thank you for your feedback.

I will check BBP_PD.

With regards to your question. All items are from the same supplier/catalog.

Kindest regards,

Hi David,

There are no contracts in place for this catalog or for the different items.

Can you check if the UNSPSC for corresponding items available in your system. Are you logging the errors for the catalog?

Hi. Do you have contracts for these items?

That could be interfering with the catalog price.

Dave.
