Hi,

Could kindly share me what exactly this 2 kind of enterprise structure stands for? Thanks.

Company Code: A Company Code: B

Plants1 Plants2

Sales org. 10 Sales org. 20

Scenario 1:

Plants1 belonged to Sales org10 and sales org20, and under same company code A

Q: in what kind of case could plants belonged to 2 sales orgs?

Scenario 2:

Plants1 belonged to sales org10 and sales org20, but sales org10 under company code A, and sales org20 under company code20.

Q:different company code? intercompany process???

Thanks!!

Suppose the company code has 1 Plant and 2 Sales organisations. Both plant will sale from one plant here. So you have to assign the Plant to both the Sales organisations.

Infact, Plant is assigned to the Distribution chain ( Sales org & Distribution channel) and it is Many to Many relationship.

For your 2nd question, it is done in cross-company /inter company sales.

When a Sale organisation sells goods from a Plant, which belongs to a different company code, then it is an example of Cross-company sales.

Hi Hoo Laa,

Scenario 1:

Plants1 belonged to Sales org10 and sales org20, and under same company code A

Q: in what kind of case could plants belonged to 2 sales orgs?

Ans: First thing we assign Plant to Company code and not SO, Again we assign Plant To SO+Distribution Channel, So that the plant can be used by that SO and DC for selling goods directly to customer,

Example: Say Hero Honda has Two Sales Org in India One Ludhiana, One Mumbai, and it sells via Retail and Dealer.

and has one plant in Gurgaon,

So by asssgining Gurgaon Plant to Both Hero honda Assures that this plant and DC combination can be used by both SO.

Scenario 2:

Plants1 belonged to sales org10 and sales org20, but sales org10 under company code A, and sales org20 under company code20.

Q:different company code? intercompany process???

Ans: YES, ?Its for intercompany Sales Process

Thanks,

Raja

Hi,

Plant is always assigned to combination of S.org+ Dts.channel. - Tcode OVX6.

S.org is always assigned to company code- T-code -OVX3

Scenario one is normal Business Process. A plant can be assigned to many Sales org but can be assigned to only one company code.

Scenario two is Intercompany Billing Process.(If You would have assigned plant to company code A) then Sales order of Sales org 10 delivered from Plant 1 is normal Process as explained above and Sales order 20 delivered from Plant 1 is intercompany billing process.

(You did not clarify Plant 2)

Thanks,
