Hi Gurus,
I am unable to intialize the tape in db13, I am getting an error and also am unable to perform an online backup. Please help me out as this is a production server.
ECC6.0
Oracle 10.2
Win 2003
The log is:

Hi all,
Thanks for your valuable inputs. The issue has been fixed. It was caused as there was a driver problem in the backup device. Upon reinstalling the driver, the issue got fixed.

please check note Note 104719: NT: Problems with MT.EXE (BRBackup error: mt: ...)
Is your tape drive really available on "/dev/mt0" ?

Hi,
have you tried to initialize the tap from the OS level
i mean using BRTOOLS, please try it and let me know the result.
