I have newly installed SAP system on windows platform successfully. I am doing post-steps now...

As per SAP note 88416 - Zero administration memory management as of 4.0A/ Windows

I want to change PHYS_MEMSIZE parameter, but note says 1st delete below parameters...

em/initial_size_MB

em/max_size_MB

em/address_space_MB etc....

this parameters are not available in profile files (instance, Default).

But is shows value in RZ11.

As per SAP Note 31395- few parameters are present in the coding.

So what is procedure to delete em/initial_size_MB parameter??

i tried from RZ10, its not deleting...

plz advise

Or to put it another way, you need to delete the memory parameter values, not the memory parameters themselves. If you leave them blank, SAP will assign the value as appropriate for your memory management scheme which is what you want.

Thanks all.

My doubt is cleared now.

Hi,

Don't worry about RZ11. Just make sure you haven't set the parameters in the profiles (RZ10).

Hi,

If the parameters don't exist in the profile files there is no need (and no way) to delete them !
