Hi,

What exactely you are looking, if you are looking to allow the users to only to display the catalog and not to add into shopping cart, you can acheive through Catalog transfer BADI.

I don't know any other method we used this method in my previous project.

Hi,

This is a simple way to do it.

Follow these steps to create a view and assign it to users :

1) Go to Edit catalogs and select your procurement catalog published for all.

2) Go to Tab Views and create a view using the create button in the bottom with a Viewid and the description.

3) Now go back to views and select your viewid. By this you will get assign characteristics, assign items and manage rules.

4) Select assign characteristics and select whatever characteristics you want to assign or assign all.

5) Similary do for assign items for the products(select only the products you want to show to that user) and save the changes for your view id.

6) Once the catalog is saved go back to your proc. catalog and publish the changes.

7) Once this is done go to the ccm role--> catalog search --> select personalization and assign the views to the roles by change tab. Whatever the role this user has do this for that role, or create a Z role and assign this and give Z role to that user in SU01.

Hope this helps.

Sridhar.

Hi,

How to make status of that view as inactive?

Thanks,

Hi,

This is what std sap says :

" If you make changes to the characteristic values of items in a catalog, the system sets the status of any views for that catalog that have rules to Inactive. This is because the changes to the characteristic values may mean that items that should now be excluded from a view are still included in the view, or vice versa. When you execute the rules (or trigger their execution by uploading a file or publishing the catalog), the system changes the status of the views to Active "

Normally if you are using all characteristics values thne the view is active.

Are you trying to change the assigned characteristics?

Best regards,

Sridhar.
