Hello,

We are implementing SAP ECC 6.0 on IBM System i server, i5/OS V5R4, SAP Kernel 7.00, Unicode, Kernel Patch Level 135.

When issuing any action with transaction VA02, we receive the following error message :

'System error : Index 2 for table VBAP does not exist'

Could someone please advise what could be the cause & the solution for this problem, as this problem caused the all of the company's sales actions to get stuck.

Your prompt response would be highly appreciated.

Best regards.

Hello,

have you checked in DB02 for any 'missing indexes'?

Dear All,

First of all thank you very much for your support.

Indeed there has been change done by the development team in program SAPMV45A, and they did succeed in fixing the problem.

Thank you again.

Best regards.

Hello Reda,

Most of the times, the secondary index issues can be fixed through Tcode SE14 - VBAP - Edit - Indexes... create/delete/activate.

If it doesn't work, you should get the detailed error message, and we can start from there.

Best regards,

Victor

Did you modified SAP standard ? Have you modified VBAP table or SAPMV45A ?

At what level you have got this error ? SM21 ? or you see a Runtime error ?? if you have runtime error post here.

If you not modify SAP standard open a oss message to SAP with high priority : first update the sap kernel to the last patch level.
