Hi All,

Why transportation planning (VT01N) is required in SD process?

Transportation Planning is done as a part of Logistics Execution.Transportaion planning is a part of Transportation process this is done inorder to start the transportation Process.

Planning is done once the goods are being ready...and then check-in and completion indicator.

Dear Veera

If you want to capture Shipment Costs in SD, you need to implement Transportation. Otherwise, it is not necessary. Without transportation also, you can process a sale order.

Hi ,

Transportation planning point is mandatory one which is maintained under a company code.

with this TPP , we cannot create the shipment document and for reports sake this very important.
