RFC-Error:

Former Member

Hi,

I have created a rfc-connection in mySAPERP to SAP PI.

When I want to test the rfc-connection in mySAPERP, I get following error in transaction sm58:

"error while opening a rfc-connection".

Last friday everything worked fine.

Where can I show the reason of the error, perhaps in logfile or traces in mySAPERP or on SAP PI?

Can anybody help me please?

Regards

Stefan

Check if the user defined in the RFC is not locked or password may be password has been expired for that user and it get locked. But first you check by tcode SU01 if it is locked or not.

Hi Stefan,

"When I want to test the rfc-connection in mySAPERP, I get following error in transaction sm58:

"error while opening a rfc-connection".

"

Here Y are u testin RFC in SM58.

I am refering this as a typo and considering u r doing a connection test in SM59 and getting this error.

Can you give some more information about the error like Location and ERROR:

"This u can find by again doing a connection test in SM59"

Hi Stefan,

Check whether you have maintained the same program ID in ur RFC adapter as u have maintained in the RFC destination.

If you have maintained the same program ID in both systems, check whether the program ID is getting registered on sender system. Check it in t-code SMGW.

Plz inform if ur prblm solved or not.

Hallo Rookie,

we do not use the RFC-adapter, we use a rfc-destination and an IDoc-Adapter. The mySAPERP server and the SAP PI server are standing on different places and we connect both networks with vpn.

I've spoken with both network-admin. There are no changes in the firewall-config.

Last friday the rfc-destination worked fine, but since yesterday I got this error.

in transaction SMGW there is an entry like this:

1 PROSRVSA jlaunch xxx sapgw00 xxxConnected <Java 12735595 Internal Communication Tue Jul 22 09:20:11 2008 0 0

but in the details there is nothing about an error.

I do not know what it is wrong in configuration because we do not have changed the settings since friday.

Has anyone another idea?

Stefan

Hi,

See RFC is rermote enabled

Secondly See porgram id maintained in the Backedn System is used in u r Sender RFC Adapter.

Check that TCP/IP RFC connection is working fine , with registetred Server Program id.

If u have changed u r RFC try to reimport the RFC into u r IR.

Hope all check wud help u

rwd points if useful
