Assigning selected set to class characteristic.

Hi gurus,

Iam trying to assign class characteristic to master inspection characteristic. my characteristic is qualitative characteristic.The system is giving an error"No selected set assignd to class characteristic." I want to know how to assign selected st to class charactristic. Pls. provide some help.

If it is solved then pls do the need full regarding the point distribution. That encourage people to participate more and more

Hi amit ghogle` ..,

When you are creating characteristics in CT04. in the Values tab page Clcik "Other Values Check"

in this popup select "Catalog Char" then enter your plant number and Selected set"

i hope this will solve your problem if not comeback.

Hi Amit,

- Run trx CT04.

- Enter the Characteristic there.

- Press Enter.

- Click on the tab "VALUES"

- Here In this screen click on the "OTHER VALUE CHECK", here select the radio button "Catalog Char"

- Assign the desired Selected Set here.

NOTE: - The "Data Type" for the Characteristic in the Basic Date must be "CHAR: Character Format"
