SAP Service SAPSID_00 Deleted

Hi Gurus,

Big Problem happened with me. help me as soon as possible.

ECC6 installed on windows 2003 server 64 bit.

From Last some days SAPOSCOL services is not getting start giving an error that "service did not respond to start or control request in timely fashion".

I am trying to solve this problem but now

*i run sapstartsrv.exe* & unexpectedly my SAPSID_00 service is deleted.

What can I do now?.

I try to install by running sapstartsrv.exe but it gives me error User does not exit or wron password I check both user SAPSID ADM & SAPserviceSID

tell me What is NR

HI,

first of all change the password for SAPserviceSID and sidadm user from windows user management.

then after install the service again by executing sapstartsrv.exe -t

Hi,

It was done, the problem is give user name servername\user

& password.

But every time it was giving the same error to start service SAPOSCOL service.

"The service did not respond to start or control request in a timely fashion"

First, check your event log, see what error the NT service start is logging. Typically if this is a user account (disabled?) or password problem (reset password?), it will be logged there.

Also, this looks like a local install. Sometimes, sapstartsrv.exe will result in an error but the NT service will still be created. If the NT service is created, don't delete it. Just work with it until you can get it working.

Again, refer to the event log, it's very useful in situations like this. It is also smart to log into the O/S using the SAPService<SID> account. Just to verify that the user is active and can be logged in using the password you think that is right.

Then run sapstartsrv.exe and put in the COMPUTERNAME\SAPService<SID> with exact case. See if it works.

edit: Deleting the CI NT service is not a big ideal. Just make sure you don't drop the wrong database.
