Hi,
When we transfer the Master data from R/3 to APO. The data is automatically assigned to the active model and the active planning version. How is this happening? Is there any configuration do we need to maintain at the R/3 side?
Thanks,
Siva.
am not sure about the version being 000... most masterdata dont have version attached to it.... model yes... and also pl check that if you have 2 models, product master transferred from ECC, for example, will be assigned to both models
The transaction data usually comes across to only 000 version and model

Hello,
whenever we transfer any data from R/3 to APO, it is assigned to version 000 by default.
As such it is not configuration on R/3 side.
The process is to transfer data from execution system to APO active version. Copy of active version to simulative version to carry out various scenarios..
thanks,

Siva - I understand it is difficult to debug the function modules getting remotely invoked when you use CIF structures. The only way I have found to work is to put breakpoints into function modules in APO side and invoke CIF to see where the control stops. The FMs like /SAPAPO/DM_MODEL_ADD_ALV might be actually getting invoked in background while using CIF and the active model and version (and there can be only one each in number) come into play while that assignment happens.

You need to create and activate integration models on R/3 side for the master data. APO is designed to have 000 as active version so that the data in this version is real time integrated to R/3 data.
