understanding an Auth Object

I am looking for understanding/Usage of A_S_ANLKL. This authorization object is the first part of the object "asset master record" and the only one with Activity.

So the activity in this object controls the activity of A_S_GSBER/Werks/KOSTL as well?

Since Comp Code is the highest Org Level in Financial Accounting, so a user must needs to have ANLKL authorizations especially for reporting(S_ALR tocdes) before GSBER/WERKS?KOSTL will work or they could work independent of ANLKL.

Thanks in Advance.

Raj

Hi Raj,

The object A_S_ANLKL (Asset Master Data Maint: Company Code/Asset Class) will control the A_S_GSBER (Business area), A_S_KOSTL(cost center), A_S_WERK(plant)...

when you wish to create an asset, it will check the object A_S_ANLKL for the company code and the asset class in which you wish to create an asset.

Business Area, Cost Center, Plant all these fall under company code ... so if u do not have the authorization to create a particular asset for a company code.. it will not enable to proceed further..

In addition to this .. please [Click here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/4f/71fd71448011d189f00000e81ddfac/frameset.htm] to know more about asset management authorizations.

Guru's, please correct me if am wrong.

Regards,

Srihari
