I am a technical consultant. want to learn SAP SD.

Can you please guide me first to learn the business process and what are the constraints for SAP SD.

I have books like glenn c williams .

Please provide some information

Hi ,

To learn SAP SD first of all you should have knowledge on the sales process of any company.

sales business process

1.OTC : Order to cash

2.MTO : make to order.

3. MTS: make to stock.

4. Third party order.

5. Stock transport order.

6. Trading goods.

7. exports.

8. Distributions.

9. QTC: Qutotation to Cash.

etc . these are the above process were any company will have.

so please find what are these above process will have significance.

Just a few additional informations on sales :-

We can differentiate sales process to many. Some of them are

- Sales from manufacturing industries. In this, direct sales, depot sales, export sales, deemed exports sales etc., These are categorised into Make to Order and Make To Stock.

- Sales from Trading Company

- Sales from Distributors

If you want to learn some basic sales process, better try to learn the concepts of manufacturing industries which would be

- generating inquiries,

- submitting quotations based on inquiries,

- converting those quotations to sale order,

- make delivery and

- billing.

If you learn this concept at basic level if not to be an expert, it will be easy to learn the other process.

To start with, try to create inquiry first, quotation, sale order, make delivery and billing. Wherever you have issues, please post to this forum, so that you will get lot of helpful suggestions.
