Dears,
As per our client's requirement they want that nobody should be able to send more than 5 MB of Data from our sap servers.
Please suggest how it is possible.

Hi,
how did you setup mail from SAP?
did you using configure mail using SMTP configuration according to
note 455140 - Configuration of e-mail, fax, paging or SMS using SMTP
if yes then you can restricted such things at you mail server.

Hi Kaushal,
Status of the note 837300 is Can not be implemented as SP level in our system is 63 so its already should be available in our system.
But as parameters.
MAXLEN_BODYPART_ALI_SMTP MAXLEN_BODYPART_OTF_SMTP
were not set,I set the parameters.
Beside it I have implemented OSS note -1171138 and as suggested in this note set parameters MAXLEN_MIME_MESSAGE_SMTP.
Also changed the value of mpi/total_size_MB but no improvement.
One more thing all parameters contains SMTP but we are not using SMTP to sent document.
Please suggest.

Hi Kaushal,
I want to clear my issue,Issue is that what our users are doing as they can not send attachemnet more than 10 MB by other internet ids like gmail. They login into the sap system and do attachmants of like 50 MB or more and send them to to other sap users or themselves and then get login into the system from other terminal and download those atachments so we want that users should not be able to attach more than 5 MB.
I also confirmed now with my client that they are using SMTP to send mails to externel Id's.Initally i told you that we are not using SMTP to send mail as parameters like icm/server_port used to send SMTP as defined in note is not set in system
So We want users should not be able to attach data more than 5 MB in system.
Sorry for providing you wrong information.
Please suggest.

Hi,
both sap note are not useful for internal mail,
sapconnect is not take place while you sending a mail using SBWP and recipient type sap logon name ( i.e sap user id)
so the parameter described above is not affected.
the restriction affect only for sending outbound mail (using mail server)

kaushal
