Hi,

we are facing problem during start of SAP ECC 6.0 IDES server.

All the work process are occupied by the SAPSYS user.

I was Apply SAP Note 1153975 -All work processes are used by the user SAPSYS

but it did not solved the problem.

Following is system kernel information

Kernel patch Level : 168

DBSL patch Level: 169

we are using 32 bit windows server and SQL server 2005.

Any suggestion ??

Hi Kaushal Malavia,

I think the problem you are facing is due to memory overwriting. But not so sure that it is the exact reason because this could happen due to several reasons.

And, you should generally use the latest kernel patch from SAP Service Marketplace, since several of the problems are due to kernel errors.

Could you please post here the dev_disp and profile file so I can take a look.

Hi,

If all work process is occupied by SAPSYS then login is not possible.

workprocess takes 15 min to back in wait state.

I am not sure exactly, but it depends on the system type, memory, disk available etc..

can u paste the log of traces dew_w*.

Hi,

I'm not found any error in dev_w* but all work process are takes time during PXA INITIALIZATION

and in my case abap/buffersize is 300 MB ( default).

Hi

I think u can increase the buffer size slowly so that u can run.

And also the change the physical memory size also. And Restart the server.

Hope this might works

default it is 300mb keep like 500mb and try.

Hi,

it is not possible to upgrade physical memory. current is 2 GB RAM.

i already tried to increase abap/buffersize but it's did not affect.

Did you see this? Check folder permissions? The SAP user should be administrator (o/s) if possible.

-> the above error gone after generating sec certificate again from STRUSTSSO2.

All SAP user belongs to Administrator group only.

Hi friends,

I am getting the sam error in my system , the only differnce is that in our case two work processes remain occupied by SAPSYS & it is not showing any report/program running in SM50.Due to which error message in Sm21 are coming like:

Run-time error "PXA_NO_SHARED_MEMORY" occurred

> Include ??? line 0000.

Run-time error "SYSTEM_NO_ROLL" occurred.

Moreover sytem utilization is going high.

OS:Windows 2000

Db: Oracle 10.2

Please suggest.
