Correlation in BPM

I understand the Correlation concept in BPM. But in our shop we didnt get a scenario to work on that.

Would some one suggest me how well I can conduct a Correlation Example if I have access to File/JDBC and RFC.

Any blogs regarding correlation is also will help me.
