SAP-OSS connection failed

Former Member

Hi everyone,

I am in the final step to finish the configuration of Maintenance Optimizer, but unfortunately i get an error when ever i click the Confirm Files Download Basket, just after selecting the patches i want to download, and basically the error has something to do with the SAP-OSS RFC connection.

The connection is not working, the user and password is correct, but something in the connection parameters is wrong, that is because on SM59 when i select the SAP-OSS connection and test it i always receive a message saying that the connection could not be completed.

I have been reading tons of documents about how to fix this issue, and most of them point to the direction that i need to install an saprouter service in order to get that solved.

Also, i read that i need to send to SAP a connection sheet with the data of my network settings and such, so i receive the right info in order to get connected.

I am kind of confused on how that works, and honestly i dont know if i am going in the right direction, so if somebody kindly could guide me on how to proceed in order to connect to the Market Place using the SAP-OSS rfc i will really appreciate it.

I am sure the user and password is correct, i dont have installed any saprouter and the server i am selecting is sapserv3.

The settings in my SAP-OSS connection are:

Target System : OSS

Msg. Server : /H/147.204.2.5/S/sapdp99/H/oss001

Group: EWA

The log after testing the SAP-OSS connection

Hi Guillermo,

please execute the program lgtst manualy, as described in note 24177. You'll receive a message, which should help you to fix the problem.

If you can't solve the problem on your own, please send back the error message and the complete lgtst command (icluding the route string etc.)

Furthermore use -> Sm59 -> SAPOSS RFC Connection and

check if the username/pwd, the sapservx hostname are correct.

Hope this helps.

andreas

Hi,

Add the following details into etc\hosts and etc\services.

1. Add sapdp99 3299/tcp into your server name and your PC.

2. Add saprouter at your side and from sap side into your server name and your PC.

3. Check the test connection RFC's for SAPOSS, SDCC_OSS, SAPNET_RFC.

Hi there,

It seems like a network connection problem. Possible suggestion would be to talk to someone who deals with the firewalls, make sure the firewalls are allowing access via the port number, if its using one. another thing you could try is if the Solman box is sitting in the same IP address subnet as other SAP systems then create the sap_oss connection in those sap systems and see if you are able to test the connection on there, if it works then its an issue with Solman or if it fails then its a network config issue.

hope it helps,

Mani

Hi,

1. Install saprouter and add your sap systems into saprouttab file.

2. Configure OSS connection using by tcode OSS1

3. Check the SAP-OSS RFC connection with correct IP Address of the server.

Hi Srini, thanks for the reply.

The saprouter has been installed successfully, i made some tests using the sapgui client from my machine and it works fine,

now, how will be the rule to permit access from my server to the sap servers?? i add this example but is not working

P * sapserv2 sapdp99 *

P * sapserv3 sapdp99 *

P * sapserv4 sapdp99 *

Any ideas??

Cheers,
