Hi,

As correctly said by Vijay, you don't require a sender IDOC adapter.

For IDOC configuration you can go through this blog and this a one time activity.

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d19fe210-0d01-0010-4094-a6fba344...

Hi,

2. SAP<--

XI<--
FTP

supposs now iam recving idoc from XI to SAP, what type configaration required on SAP and XI systems, now is IDOC adapter required in this scenario?

You have to create

1) RFC Destination in XI towards R/3

2) Port in XI(IDX1)

3) Partner Profile in R/3 and add the Inbound Parameters in WE20

You require Idoc Receiver Adapter Config here,

We dont require Idoc sender adapter because Idoc will directly can communicate with the XI's Integration Engine.

But While Posting the Idoc to the R/3 we require adapter Inorder to post the Idoc-xml into Idoc format

Hey,

these are your settings you need to do for Idoc.

Give the system number.

Give the gateway host name and gateway service (3300 + system number).

Go to the logon security tab.

Give the lang, client, username and password.

Test connection and remote logon.

Step 2)

Goto IDX1.

Create a new port.

Give the port name.

Give the client number for the R3 system.

You dont need to use the IDoc adapter. The configuration (destinations, port etc) will do the trick

i understand the XI part ...SLD IR ID configration, my question is do i need to configure the idoc ( i.e RFC creation. PORT creation, partnet profiles) on both systems SAP and XI everytime ?

~~~~~~~
No its a one time configuration.
