ESS & MSS customization without NWDI

Hi All

I need to customize some of the pages in ESS & MSS

I dont have NWDI installed. is it possible to do customization.

Please let me know how can i get the source code for ESS & MSS in NWDS for customization.

Hi Karthi,

Firstly let us make it very clear that working with custom ESS/MSS whith out using NWDI is not possible. This is because the sturcture of the DC and the normal WDP is completly different. Because ESS/MSS is not developed by single developer and is a team work it had woke with the DC. If still there is any abliguty we can still discuss.

ESS/MSS code is not file based but Development Component based and the source code for this needs to be maintained in the NWDI system for the WebDynpro java code modifications. Ask your Basis person to configuer the NWDI system for ESS/MSS. Cookbook for configuring the NWDI system for ESS/MSS source code is available in marketplace.

Dont think its possible to get to the source code or customize ESS/MSS without JDI or NWDI.
