IDoc to File - error code 56

Former Member

Hello,

I have configured the scenario for IDoc XI File. The IDoc from SAP system is triggered out properly, but at XI side by using we05 t-code i found that the IDoc received doesnot contain any data at all. The segment names have been changed and the error code is 56 and 60

56 status message is: External segment name & cannot be interpreted

60 status message is: Basic Type is missing.

I have checked the in idx2 the meta data have been imported properly and also verified the partner profile also both seems to fine.

Has anyone come across this situation, please do guide me to solve the issue.

Warm Regards

Ramesh P

Hi,

If the Idoc has generated at R/3 side and u didnt receive at Xi means

1) Check in IDX5 at XI

2) Check in SM58 at R/3

3) Check in SMQ2 at XI

Thats it , these will give u some clues

Hi Ramesh,

Are you using IDoc tunneling? otherwise you wont need WE05 on XI server.

Error status 60 means idoc syntax is incorrect. Have u created ur own idoc or a custom segment is added?

If yes, then there is some problem with the Idoc structure. So in that case, idoc cant be sent outside R3 and there is no chance u can find it in XI.

You activate the syntax check via the partner profile. Check the "Cancel Processing" flag under "syntax check" in the tab page "outbound options"

Thanks prateek for quick response!

The IDoc used is standard idoc WPDBBY.WPDBBY01.

and the cancel processing flag has been checked..

But still it error persists.. i am still able to see inbound idocs in we05 XI side, most of them told that in this scenario you wont be able to see it in we05 XI side. Then how to go about...

In XI try with IDX5 transaction code and let us know.

mean time you can also refresh the xi cache just to avoide any cache related issue if any...

hi sarvesh,

I refreshed the cache, no difference.

If i run the IDX5 transaction it says System is not Central XI; Cannot start program
