Hi experts
I would like to know is someone uses MM-SUS in classic scenario and if it is possible?
Thanks
Nilson
Hello,
MM-SUS Scenario is very much a classic scenario only and useful for Manufacturing Industries in any
Verticals specifically for the Direct Materials Procurement.
The Functionality involves the following:
1) Creation and transmission of a PO from R3 into SUS using an Integration server XI
2)This Po is acknowledged/confirmed in SUS which generates a Po response
3) Only then the vendor can create a ASN and confirm despatch of goods
4)On transmission of the ASN, an I/B delivery is created in the R3 based on which GR is carried out by the
Purchaser in R3
5) After this an Invoice is created in the SUS ssytem by the Vendor

It is possible to use MM-SUS classic for SRM bidding also
the flow would be like this
PR created in ECC MM
transferred to SRM to purchaser sourcing cockpit
Bid Invitation created in SRM
this BI is viewed by biddres via SUS portal
responce BId is submitted by bidders
Purchaser accepts the Bid
Generates the Auto PO with resp button
PO is created in ECC MM via BAPI

Hi,
I am not sure about the impplications.
I think it should be possible to transfer the classic PO with indirect materials, provided the Material is in Material Master.
But my question is if you want to use srm for bidding, why do you want to create a Classic PO and again go to SUS? Does the business scenario not look odd?
I would rather prefer to work on the ECS using EBP-SUS if bidding is required for indirect Materials.
Thanks & Regards,
Nagarajan
Hi Nagarajan,
In the MM SUS scenario, which you explained, the Vendor creates the invoice in SUS. In such case will it create a parking in ECC or posting of invoice itself directly with approval work flow??
Also request you to let's know the message types being used and programs to scehdule for updation of document flow from MM to SUS and Vice versa.
Thank you,
Ravi
Hi Nilson,
Its possible to implement MM-SUS scenario in classic mode. I have worked on one such project for an Indian automitive sector company and I know few other such SRM implementations.

MM-SUS scenario in classic is very much possible.
You may find the periodic production inductries e.g. Automotive, Pharma using this scenario.
They can transmit the delievry schedule using this scenario
and reduce the pain in conventional scheduling.
ASN helps for visibility of transit inventory.
