Icons on toolbars with Integrated ITS

We implemented SAP Transaction PR05 (Travel Expense Manager) in our R/3 4.7 (Netweaver 2004) system, integrated with an Enterprise Portal (EP7) system via a standalone ITS (6.20).

To retain the SAP look and feel we implemented the EnjoySAP design which uses icons for toolbar buttons.

To integrate our upgraded ECC6 (Netweaver 2004s) R/3 system with the ITS and Portal we must use the integrated ITS (note 709038 states this as a requirement) which only supports the Tradeshow design - this doesn't display toolbar icons but instead replaces these with text descriptions.

Having invested a great amount of time and effort in training we wish to continue using the icon based toolbar setting if possible.

Is there any way in which we can continue to use toolbar icons with our upgraded R/3 ECC6 system?

There appears to be no SAP supported option but we wondered if there is an easy way to replace the texts with icons as a customer modification.

Hi Alan,

Use ~WEBGUI_ICON_TOOLBAR and ~WEBGUI_SIMPLE_TOOLBAR service parameters.

Hi Alan,

As mentioned by Ivan, setting ~WEBGUI_ICON_TOOLBAR should display the icons. But you need a certain minimum support pack to use this parameter.
