About Configuration UWL

I'm worring.. these..

1. I want to use UWL. With GP but I donu2019t know anything about UWL. To connect between GP and UWL, Do I must develop connector? Is that rigth? Is there any alternative way?

2. If I want to use UWL with non-sap system. Do I modify non-sap applications to connect UWL using connector?

3. Is there any references about UWL?
