Hi,
I have been able to configure in ALRTCATDEF an Alert category. I have been able to test this successfully via the program RSALERTTEST in se38 for which I receive an alert in my Alert inbox in RWB.
I have also been successful in creating an Alert Rule in the Alert Configuration in RWB, which I linked to the Alert category.
However when I trigger a faulty message(Mapping failure) to PI IS and get the failure in sxmb_moni, but I do not get the Alert in my alert inbox in RWB.
I have scheduled and released back ground batch jobs for programs ALM_ALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET and RSALERTPROC.
Please can you help me out?
Hi,
Thanks again for all the valuable help.
I have found the problem why the alert is not sent. There is a RFC destination u201CCentralMonitoringServer-XIAlertsu201D which is the RFC connection to the alert server.
The password in the login details was incorrect. Once I remedied this the alerts was going through to the alert inbox.

Hi,
Thank you for all your reply thus far. Unfortunately I have not found the solution to my problem as yet.
I however am getting and error in the following ABAP report once I try to trigger the alert rule with a faulty message in the IS.
The ABAP report: SXMSALERT_LOGREADER
The error in log: *! System_Failure:Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)
Does anybody know which user is been used here? Where can I see which user is being used?
And where do I correct this user (Su01 or exchangeprofile)?
