-24798 Data area is full

Since the Data area in my local MAXDB is 100 % full I am trying to add up more volume to my Data area but I cannot do it due a second error (-24994 runtime environment error while starting MAXDB J2E instance.

OS:Windows XP

Any suggestions:

I just tried what the URL "http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/maxdb_faq.html#maxdb-faq-question-53" suggests to do to add a data volume but when trying the first command:

1. dbmcli -u dba,dba -d MAXDB1

dbmcli on MAXDB1>param_getvolsall

I get this new error:

-24994, ERR_RTE: Runtime environment error

-24867, ERR_SHRESLOCK: Resource is locked: ParamAccess

Hi,

can you tell me which exact SAP DB or MaxDB version you're using (please include the complete Build string information)?

Please also mention the operating system involved.

Can you copy the last 20 or so lines from the knldiag.err file (found in the Rundirectory of the DB, normally /sapdb/data/wrk/<SID>) into this thread?

I am using MaxDB 7.6 running in Windows XP.

Not sure where to get the Build string information.

Hi Diego,

First check the free space and clear the event log, then go to admin mode. Now u can able to increase the volume size.
