Market for EDI Is good in india.

Thanks everyone for your replies, but am not looking at EDI career Perspective. Rather, I would like to know, whether are there any Indian based companies(Retail, Supply chain, health care... etc) implementing EDI or developing EDI Products.

Hi All,

Mainly what i think that EDI datas are widely used by the European clients they don't follow the ansii data format.so companies dealing with european clients widely needs edi consultants.From that perspective EDI is still in demand in the market.

Hello Buddy,

As India is more Service Provider rather than implementor...

So in India you can expect to get jobs in EDI for Service sector..

EDI is old concept ,and different stadards in market for both America and Europeon countries...

Alone in US its around 10,000 customers who are in range of 5 to 50 million dollors turnover....

So EDI apart from XML is good ...

So you can choose a career in EDI...

Not that much.

3.Why Indian companies are not choosing EDI?

Still many companies are not streamlined buying and selling process. Thatu2019s a reason there is no such EDI global standard Implementation.
