Hi all,

In the transaction RZ20, i am not able to find nodes (MTEs) in the "Exchange Infrastructure" node inside "CCMS Monitor templates". (ie. RZ20 --> CCMS monitor sets --> SAP CCMS Monitor Templates -> Exchange Infrastructure)

Can anyone please tell me how to add standard MTEs inside the "Exchange Infrastructure" node.

It will also be helpful if anybody can send a link where i can find the list of all available standard MTEs.

Regards,

Santosh

hi santosh,

1) Transaction RZ20 is used for creating monitors in CCMS, select Extras --> Activate maintenance functions.

2)Go to monitor (set) --> create, you will get to the following screen:in transaction RZ20 select extras --> activate maintenance functions.

3)Go to monitor (set)--> create, you will get to the screen:

4)click <<< new monitor>>> and select create nodes (F5) button from the toolbox icon.

5)select rule node and hit the continue button.

6)in the next dialog select CCMS_DEFINE_R_SYSTEMS as the rule definition and hit the continue button.

7)Now select <CURRENT> from the match code for the R3 system parameter value and hit the continue button.

Note: pls remember that we are creating a rule Based monitor: we need to make sure NO object checked from the selectable MTE tree.

😎 The next step is to create the virtual node to group all the MTEs that we should select from the MTE classes shown in point a. TO do this ,

click on CCMS_DEFINE_R3_SYSTEMS if it is not already selected and hit create nodes (F5) button from the toolbox. now select

virtual node and hit the continue button.

9)in the name field write something like: test rule based monitors and hit the continue button.

10) now click under test rule based monitors to select them and then hit on create nodes (F5)

choose Rule based and hit continue button.

11) On the next screen select CCMS_GET_MTE_BY_CLASS as the rule name and the hit the hit the continue button.

12)Now we need to add each MTE class from point a. to tje following screen on the MTE class

paramater value. select all of them and hit continue button.

13) the next step is to include all MTE classes already defined in point a. you will need to repeat these steps for each

additional class you want to add to the monitor set.

14) After all classes has been included into the monitoring set hit the save button from the toolbox.

15) you will be prompted for a monitor name , write something meaningful.

The new Monitor set should be display

Hi,

the complete process

The system group is maintained with transaction RZ21. Two steps are required:

...

1. Choose Maintain system groups from the Technical infrastructure menu and define the system group ExchangeInfrastructure_Systems consisting of the remote systems created before.

2. Choose Create remote monitoring entry from the Technical infrastructure menu and maintain all systems of your XI landscape.

1. Use the table maintenance transaction SM30 to maintain appropriate logical sender-receiver assignments in table ALXMBPFALERT.

2. Specify threshold values for the triggering of alerts for each of these assignments. For more information, see SAP Note 730193.

after this u can see the details u given in rz20...respective nodes under IS

NOw configuaration of CCMs is complete

-

Now u need to send these alerts to email:

Now go to RZ21.....select the middle row methods...search for 'email' u will get a FM "CCMS_Onalertemail" copy this into to Z Fm

and double click on z programme adn give the receipt email details............

Now again come to RZ20 and select the one u created and right click go to properties......

click on method assignment: edit mode: go to MTE class....give the name u created with Z...

save it...

with this ccms configuaration is done..

refer these blogs it gives more clear picture:

SAP Network Blog: XI : GRMG Customizing for XI CCMS Heartbeat Monitoring Part II

SAP Network Blog: XI : Configuring CCMS Monitoring for XI- Part I

hope this solves your problem...

Regards.
