Hi,

The SRM MDM is different from core MDM .Functionality is the same. However when you install the MDM component that comes with SRM has only 3 components i.e Console,Import Manager,Data Manager whereas the MDM has 4 (all of the above) and syndicator.Since in SRM MDM you dont send back the records from MDM to SRM ,syndicator is not required. In SRM MDM the records in Data manager are displayed using WebAS

This [SDN article |https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0102a91-bae4-2910-f298-acbae13e80d4] explains it best.

Hi Ramu,

as An said in the previous post: SRM-MDM is a Solution based on SAP Netweaver MDM.

MDM is in this case the electronic cataloge for the e-Procurement, where the user can choose catalog items and send the order to SAP SRM.

SAP delivers in this Solution beside MDM Server and Clients (without Syndicator), also Business Content like Repository and WebUI.

Hope it helps.

Best regards

Nico
