Hi Experts,
Please suggest on how to define ports and metadata in XI for IDoc processing for multiple R/3 clients.
for example if we have R/3 client 010, R/3 client 012, R/3 client 013.
and the scenario is to send POs from R/3 to XI and to receive Advance ship notice back to R/3.
And also please refer some OSS notes if there are on defining ports and metadata for multiple clients.
Thank you,
MK

Thanks all.
due to multiple clients, would be there any difference in defining the Ports and metadata.
and as the metadata defined will be refered to the lower client RFC destination, will there are'nt any issues.
Please suggest.

Hi,
>>and as the metadata defined will be refered to the lower client RFC destination, will there are'nt any issues.
No Issues will be there
You have to define the separate separate ports and Partner profiles with respect to clientsx in SAP R/3
In XI also In the same way we have to create the Ports in IDX1 accordingly to the clients

Hi
You have to create different port sor different clients in IDX1 transaction. And load metadata in IDX2.
Remember Define port using this conention SAP****.
Generally used practice is SAP<LogicalSystemName><ClientNo>.

Hi Mk,
You have to create Ports one for each client . In your case as you have 3 clients so 3 ports you create in XI IDX1 tcode .also in R/3 you have to create port to XI in each r/3 client box.
In Xi you have to folllow SAPXXX format to define a port where XXX is your R/3 system ID .

HI.
You can create port using IDX1
and for Metadata you can do it by IDX2.
Thanks,

hi mk,
To define ports in xi use t.code-IDX1
for idoc meta data in XI use t.code- IDX2
