Slow Performance

Dear All,

We are using ECC 5.0 with kernel 6.40 (patch 201). We have 16G ram and system pool 2 size is 14g.

Number of concurrent users is 150-180.

we are facing problem in performance. The tcode md4c, va05 are taking very long time. These transactions contain large number of records + these transactions are used by many users at the same time as they need it.

I checked these transactions even after restarting the system with only one user but still the transaction is taking time. When these transactions are running other programs are also affected. No of dialog process configure are 35. We have increase the memory parameters but after sometime the work process exhausted and get into PRIV mode. So i also increased abap parameters & em/..initia... parameter.

I checked the joblog on OS at sometime,i found

"Access plan not updated".

This entry is repeated many times.

Can someone tell me how to increase the performance.

Hi Anthony,

first of all you should let us know the data of ST02.

Then, you should have a look at ST03 or STAD and check how the responsetime is split. Based on that we have to check more ...

SM04 shows you the memory per user - this is interesting as well for the top20 ...
