How to delete all exiting master data and transaction data in the SCM system? I mean besides marking deletion flags and then archiving, is there any other function for us to delete all application data in one step?

If the APO system is communicating with R/3 then

You have to delete orders coming from R/3 in R/3 itself.

delete transactional data with rlcdelete and md74.

Delete master data through MASSD.

It is nto as simple as it looks like. By the way why are you thinkign fo reformating a APO system?

Thank both of you very much. This is a testing system and we have too many data in it, so we want to delete everything.

Thanks again.

step 1 - deactivate the intergration models

step 2- delete all the models (you cant delete before deactivating)

step 3- use rlcdelete, sdorderdelete, md74, massd to delete some trx and master data

step 4- plng and admn workbench. you need to deinitialize all time series objects and delete them,

step4-deactivate MPOS and delete them.

step5- do not delete standard objects.

step6-run 0M17 to see any mismatches and correct them

if you want to delete all the current settings that various users have created.. then you need to go to inidividual transactions and do it. e,g deleting planning calenders, time strems ID's, profiles etc.

please check with basis guys reg Live cache reformatting and other APO admn. tools- e.g if system restore is available to take care of special requests. You might have issues deleting transporation lanes of some orders are dependent on it because of LC-DB inconsistent states. One more thing that can be done is a full copy of new standard installation to this system.. and then run some standard reports again.

Overall- master data incl CVC's, transaction data (LC and DB), time series obejcts and other current and environment settings need to be deleted if you want to delete all. Remember this is not a simple activity but can be done to a manageble extent given your purpose.

you need to delete transactional data before deleting masterdata. there are a few reports that can be used for this depending on the kind of masterdata - check /sapapo/rlcdelete and /sapapo/sdorder_delete

you can do a massd to delete masterdata

doing it in one step looks like a full reformat of the system. The basis guys should be able to tell
