Sherlok Profiler 1.4 on Windows Server 2003 EE (64bit)

Hello,

we are running WAS 6.40 sp9 on Windows Server 2003 EE. The server is a 64bit machine and the JVM is as follows:

-> java vm version : 1.4.2_06-b03

-> java vm vendor : Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (Sun Microsystems Inc.)

-> java vm type : server

-> java vm cpu : ia64

We need a profiling solution, so I want to install Sherlok 1.4. Unfortunately the included dlls seem to be just 32bit compatible.

Has anybody got Sherlok running on a 64bit Windows machine or has tested another profiling tool on WAS 6.40?

Ok, I send the ia64 via sapmats. Please send me a feetback, if it works (or not)

Hi Albert,

unfortunately it didn't work out with the .dll ...

1. I put the sherlok.dll (tried it also with and without msvcp71d.dll, msvcr71d.dll) into the os_libs directory.

2. I extracted the sherlok.jar file into the server0 directory.

3. I added the parameters -Xdebug -Xrunsherlok:ConfigPath=sherlok to the server instance node.

4. I restarted the cluster.

5. I got the following error in std_server0.out

By the way, SAP Portal is not installed on the server. It's just a plain J2EE Engine SP09 on Oracle 9.2.0.6.

Please try to start a command shell in os_libs directory

and execute:

> java -version

> java -Xrunsherlok

and send me the output....

On ia64 the files needed are

sapcpp46.dll (SAP portable standard template library)

sherlok.dll

The sapcpp46.dll is available in the standard distribution of J2EE and on market place.

OK, I got it running now.

We actually just updated the machine to jdk1.4.2_09 and SP15 but the sapcpp46.dll was not included.

i have 64 bit windows, installed was6.4 sp14 but can not get the teshbench working. how to start and access sherlok1.4 test bench.

do you know where to put the files on HPUX?
