Auto Update of product in characteristic view

Hi friends ,

To make new Material relevant for characteristic Availability check we need to activate its characteristic view using SAPAPO/ATPCH01 manually .

But can anyone suggest me any possible way of doing it in background during we CIF new material to APO ??

Hi there,

where do you have the characteristics that have to be set

in ATPCH01 ?

If you have those characteristics in R/3 check user exit CIFMAT01 and possible enhancement of transfer structur.

Be Aware of the required enhancement of inbound user exit for product master also.

I donot have characteristic value from R/3 ,

Characteristics are defined in R/3 but no values assigned to batches these characteristics values are only known to APO

and assigned in APO only .

Did you ever resolve this question? I have a similar question. When there is a new class, a Characteristics View is generated for it when the products are integrated. For this original creation, the Characteristic is not assigned and the the products are inactive. How do you make the assignment to tthe Characteristics View that you want (i.e. Time Series and Rules) as well as activating the products?
