Settlement come in to pictuire in the later stages. But once any actual costs are booked against particular WBS element, those costs will be accounted in the corresponding company code accounts. So u can't change ur company code in ur WBS element after that happens.
Example for actual costs cud be : GR against ur project POs for non stock materials/GI against activities or reservations of ur project/direct financial posting like vendor invoice postings against project etc...
IN our project we r getting budget from IM , now i tested in this way i have created new WBS in proj and now i am able to change company code , nd after allocating budget to tht WBS i checked in CJ20N wher WBS company code is greyed out...
