hai gurus,
what is the relation of assignment between checking group and checking rule in availability check.if i go through the standard system i see that one checking group is assigned to N no of checking rules.
if that is true then how the system will know which checking rule has to be taken in to consideration for a material with certain checking group.
and also defining checking group and checking rule is which consultants responsibility is it SD or MM or PP.

Checking groups specify the type of requirements records the system is to create when processing sales orders or deliveries
You can create the following requirements records:
1. Individual requirements records
2. Summarized requirements records
Checking Rule is used to control the scope of availability check for each transaction in SD
Checking group + Check Rule defines how availability check is to carried out
