Hi All,
we have a Zebra printer (140xiIII Plus - an xml-enabled zebra printer). we have a zebra designer software also.
we are trying to pursue the idea of designing all the labels from zebra designer software and export it to printers memory and then send the XML data alone from SAP(I guess thru smartforms)to the printer . This would eliminate the design of a label in the smartform using ZPL(setting up of co-ordinates , font etc).
There are couple of things which i guess i am not understanding
1) when i generate an XML output out of a smartform , it is totally of different structure compared to what zebra printer is taking out of zebra designer software.
2) I guess if i am not wrong , the smartforms are not generating the desired xml output that would be recognised by zebra printer.
3)I also noticed that the XML formats that zebra is taking have label.dtd as their doctype but i couldn't find them in XML output generated from smartforms.
3) what is the protocal based on which the smarform and printer speak?
Please guide me thru right direction to achieve this.
Apprecite your help . Thanks
