Hi experts,

What is six singma analysis mentioned in xMII training books? Is it SPC Chart?

Under quality action block there are SPC/SQC Chart and SPC/SQC analysis, what's the difference between them?

Hi Hu,

In general view the SPC/SQC Analysis means to check the violation of Process or a Product is violated from the quality measures.

In this scenario we can define Upper and lower control limits. If the values go beyond these limits then it is said to be violated the rules.So that user can analyze the process or product easily.

The basic thing is to achive the zero defects, so we can do this by using SAP MII SPC/SQC Analysis Action Block.

SPC/SQC Chart Action block intended to generate charts in the form of images and also for the reports on a static html page.

Six Sigma is a Process control system developed by Motorola roughly 20 years ago. It's basic premise is that the better you control all processes, the more consistent you end product becomes. A sigma is another way to refer to a Standard Deviation. So the goal of Six Sigma targets process control to less than six standard deviations which if I remember correctly is something like 0.000097. You can google it and get more information. There are now a number of large companies which have embraced the program.

Hi,

The SAP xMII SPC/SQC Quality Analysis action is designed to allow easy access to the data output of a specific SPC analysis. The data can be used in any way, such as to examine rule violations or define custom rule evaluations.

SPC Chart action is designed to generate a screen shot of an SAP xMII iSPCChart Applet.
