ASN is one possible type of confirmation. Confirmations is nothing but various kinds of information provided by a vendor to a customer with regard to ordered goods.
Shipping notifications. (Note that shipping notifications may also be referred to by a number of other names, including "advice (note)", "advice of dispatch", "ship notice", and "advance(d) shipping notice" ("ASN").)
Delivery note is nothing but the vendor sends the goods along with the delivery note about the actual Qty, price etc. Based on delivery note also we can process the GR.
