can I use the full file system backup to recover a sap system?
Or, I should use brtools and db restore to recover a sap system? I do not know whether the file system backup can be used to recover a sap system? can you give me some advices? thanks
Hello. Yes you can recover , but you lost last changes (in meantime after your backup compleate and your system needs to be recover). If you copy file system, you MUST check : your database and AS must be SHUTDOWN state. But DB13, has been thought up knowingly, and I advise you use it. Regards.

Hi,
You can very well recover the SAP system from the file system back-up.. Before that ensure that the number of datafiles in the control file trace and the physical datafiles present in the sapdata's directories are both consistent..
