Special period handling of SAP-JVA

Hi,

I'm not sure if Joint Venture Accounting questions are for this forum. But just in case somebody here knows about it, please see if you can help me.

Question: How does SAP-Joint Venture Accounting handle postings to special period (13 - 16) under a 'Billable' recovery indicator. Does SAP allow billable posting to special periods?

Hi,

Special periods are used only for FI module. We can not use in Joint venture.

Special periods are not handled in JVA. They are not a part of the design of JVA.

As i know, JVA don't have special period, only have period 1-12, and if you active JVA module, your FICO also need to use period for 1-12 to map JVA period.

Hi Maria,

Transaction Code GJ4A can be used for JV OPEN POSTING PERIOD. As I know you can only enter period 01 to 12.
