I want to know that,what is the difference of the STO (stock transfer order) between two plant of same company code and two plant of different company code.

STO (stock transfer order) between two plant of same company code
Here the stock or material or products will be transfer between two plant which are belongs to the same company code.
Here up to delivery will be happen there will not be any billing activity.

Here inter company billing will be happen because the financial statement are different for two company codes.

Hello,
As in the earlier mails, the stock transfer between two planta under the same company code doesn't need any billing document as normally it will not be considered as a sale. It is done with one step procedure inMM, it doesn't require SD involvement.
When the stock is moving between two plants under different company codes, it will be considered as sales and intercompany billing will be created in between the company codes.

When a STO takes place b/w 2 plants of the same company code then there is no implication financially, that is no need to create a financial doc.
But when the transfer takes plz b/w 2 plans belonging to different company codes then the delivering plant needs to invoice the sender.Financial implications wold be there n needs to be addressed.
