Failed to connect to backend system. Check your system definition and user privileges.

Hi Experts,

I've got a problem with a BW-Query (not) running in a VC model.

I've a big model with many rfc-bapis and some BW-Queries. One of the BW-Queries has been changed and now doesn't work anymore with "normal" user settings! The other queries are running. There is no permission-problem on BW-side.

I checked the user mapping (user-ID and password). They are exactly the same.

I did also like shown in [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/vc/failed%2bto%2bconnect%2bto%2bbackend%2bsystem].

Does anybody has an idea? This problem is very urgent...

Thanks for your response

Buzz-D

Hi,

thanks for the quick reply.

I think there is a typing error in the sap note, or not?

But why should the error always appear with the same query an the same user with less permissions?

Do you understand my problem?

Hi,

it's not the proxy problem, because the query runs with my user (super admin).

Testing the query in BW for my test user is ok! No problem. But running it in the portal there appears the error...

Hi,

don't afraid of these small problems some times this type of errors will come due to Proxy settings and permissions.

see the SAP note for this problem:145516
