Link to DB failed in STMS

Dear all,

We are running on 40B windows 2000 oracle 9.2.0.5 platform and our SPAM version is at 0 level.

Before running prepare on this system it is asking to upgrade SPAM version to lates i.e level 18

But when i try to upgrade SPAM to 18 its giving error at CHECK_REQUIREMENTS stage as

Reason: TP_CANNOT_CONNECT_SYSTEM

Return code: 0212

Message: could not access file as supposed

In STMS everything has been properly configured except when we go to system overview

--> R3 system --> check transport tool -->

Tp interface OK

RFC destination OK

TP call----

---

RFC link tp was started successfully

tp version 252.8.36

DB connect Link to database failed

I have replaced kernel and tp version to latest but didnt helped.also content of TPPARAM and domain.pfl are

seem to be correct.

Please let me know what could be reason for this connection faliure

The tp return code is 212 it is a program error.

Check whether the tools tp and r3trans connects to database.

Update the kernel level.

Update the SPAM from 18 to 23

Then u continue the process.
