Hey,
created a type 3 connection in SAP sender system to XI, because I would
like to send IDOCs to XI.
The documentation "Step-by-step guide on IDOC-to-File using Business Service"
created a Type 3 (ABAP) destination in SM59 to the xi system.
The connection test works, but if I click on Remote Login nothing happened.
I searched the forum and found hints like to create a user in capital letters or use
system user. I tried everything without success.
Even if I didn't entered Auser, I excpected the login screen but nothing happened.
With SAP GUI I could logged with every user without problem.
any ideas?
thanks
chris
Hi,
Apart from the above hints,
Check in the following path Of SAP R/3 Server whether you have added the Host file entry of XI to logon with remote connection
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc-----Open the Hosts file with notepad and make an entry like this
Ex:
172.16.31.11 pxiprd

Hi Chirstian,
When ever we create the RFC Destination u can give the particular connection details of the other user(that means which system ur going to connect), So give the
particular details of that other system like USER NAME , Password, Server Name and IP Address.

I used an own user with SAP_ALL and I used the User PIAPPLUSER, but
both doesn't work.
Do you use also the PIAPPLUSER for this?
Is it true, that SAP even doesn't open the window if I'm using the wrong user?
I'm able to login directly with SAP GUI.
Do I need some special roles or profiles for this user?
@Seshagiri
I don't have access to the host file, so I'm using the IP directly. For the SLD destinations
like LCRSAPRFC this works.

Hi,
Please check your User ID Authorizations and contact your Basis in this regard.
Thanks.

Your user-id might not have the authorisation for remote login. You can check with the basis guys. I also faced the same problem while doing the same scenario. They provided me the authorisation and asked me to change my password in caps.

Username and password used in the RFC destination may not be dialog user. or do not have authorization.
Are u able to login in destination system using SAPGUI with the same userId and password.
Test that if not then use Dialog user.
It is not nessasary to use Dialog user for any ALE transfer, you can use communication user with proper authorizations.
